Established in 1987, RetroFit UK Ltd is a leading installer of external wall insulation and cladding. From the Head office in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, we operate a nationwide team, providing external installation services for commercial clients and leading contractors.

RetroFit UK Ltd was bought by the SD Samuels Group in 2019. SD Samuels Ltd, a successful business that turns 27 years old in 2021, provides roofing and cladding services, working alongside us to form a seamless approach to combining the two businesses for the benefit of clients.

Now part of the SD Samuels Group, we can deliver a one-stop-shop for building envelope systems.
Working on projects of all sizes, RetroFit has customer service levels that create more clients and we retain our existing clients too!

We are driven to provide peace of mind for all customers and live by our promises.

Our Core Values are the bricks that form the foundation of the group, how we act both internally amongst ourselves and externally with customers and suppliers. They represent the regular behaviours of our best people, those who exemplify the culture of our company and what makes us special.

As a leadership team we have debated what are core values are and have agreed that the 5 following values best describe who we are, are the reason we are where we are today and will continue to help us build the business for the future.

Act with Integrity

This can be described as being reliable, trustworthy, respectful, honest, loyal, fair & reasonable.

Doing the right thing, in all circumstances even if no one is watching you.

Put the Company First

This can be described as putting the company and your work colleagues above your own needs.

Customers will never love a company until the employees love it first.

Do what we say

A person who does what they say they will do is a person who honors their commitments and keeps their promises.

Be on time, finish what we start, take personal responsibility. We are valued for what we do not what we will say we will do

Willingness to Learn

Willingness to learn is defined as a desire, wish or readiness to acquire new knowledge and develop. It means that a person does not want to stand in one place, wishes to be more qualified and keep up with the modern trends and tendencies

“The capacity to learn is a gift; The ability to learn is a skill; The willingness to learn is a choice.”

Uncompromising Safety

A safe working environment is at the heart of everything we do.

Our uncompromising approach to the safety of every employee, client, and supplier is a cornerstone of our culture.

To become the number 1 supplier of building envelope systems in the UK and an employer of choice within the construction sector, exceeding expectations of our clients and staff.

We want all of our staff to be as proud of working for RetroFit as RetroFit is of them. We will invest in, and support them, in all we do as we continue to deliver excellence to all our clients.
